the light illuminates the keyboard,
where fingers alternate between typing and hesitating,
one girl has fallen asleep,
three sit illuminated by the laptop,
just like me.
we have one extra,
four we were meant to be,
the fifth of course,
is welcome,
as any friend would be.
the clickety-clack of the keys fill the room,
as well as the song emanating from my speakers.
a glance at the clock,
its too late for my sleep early plan,
so i guess its back to plan b.
ohwell.
then again, a second girl has fallen asleep,
and i should too,
so should i continue to let my creativity find an outlet,
or should i slide into the clutches of sleep,
a third has gone off to bathe,
i should brush my teeth too.
ah, goodbye, dear literary world.
it was nice to visit you, and know for sure that suppressing creativity,
does not necessarily mean it will go.
nice to meet you, and thank you for the wonderful time.
goodbye, dear literary world.
sleep beckons, and i must go.
duty calls, you see.
i don't want to stop,
but the limit has come and gone.
so, goodbye and goodnight.
